Ulysses Ulysses core

Registration dialog

Licenses and Registration

If you have installed a fresh copy of Ulysses, it will always start in an unregistered state. A panel will pop up, asking you whether you'd like to register, apply for a trial run, or use the application in demo mode.

Registration is a short and easy process in Ulysses. The only thing you need is an active internet connection at the time of registration. To register, either click on the "Register" butto in the splash screen at startup or go to the application menu and select "Register...". Registration in Ulysses is a "named registration", that means we register Ulysses to your name and therefore each Ulysses user gets his own registration code. That keeps the codes short and you won't need to enter a 25-character string.

After obtaining the license from our online shop, you will receive an e-Mail with the registration code. Simply enter your name and then the code in the registration dialog. Ulysses will check if the combination is valid and register it. You can run Ulysses not only on one, but on three machines simultaneously with the registration code.

To unregister Ulysses, go to the application menu, click on "Register.." and select the "Unregister" button. Unregistering is only needed when you want to sell your Mac. Upgrading your hardware doesn't affect your registration. If you re-install or upgrade your Mac OS X installation, you can just backup Ulysses.app from the Application folder and you won't need to re-register. You can also download a fresh copy from our website and re-register without using one of your three licenses (two licenses if you're using Ulysses Core).
