Timeline overview

Use the timeline to assemble and edit the video. The timeline represents the sequence of all clips, effects, text, and shapes in a video. The playhead position on the timeline determines the display of the video on the canvas. The timecode is shown to the right of the playhead in Hours: Minutes: Seconds; Frames.

Drag the Timeline Zoom slider to zoom in or out on the timeline. Click Timeline scale-Zoom to max to zoom in to the maximum size or click Timeline scale-Zoom to previous zoom level to zoom to the previous zoom level.

The timeline view determines which effects appear on the timeline for editing. To change the timeline view, click one of the following tabs:

Media Bin button Media Bin & Library: Drag recordings, imported media, clips, shapes, and text onto the timeline.

Video Effects button Video Effects: Drag video effects (transitions, filters, and actions) onto the camera recordings, screen recordings, video clips, shapes, text , and images on the timeline.

Audio Effects button Audio Effects: Drag audio effects (transitions and actions) onto audio clips on the timeline.
