Delete a clip or effect on the timeline
You can delete clips or portions of clips from the timeline. Deleting clips on the timeline does not delete the clip from the Media Bin. The Media Bin preserves the original source file.
Delete a clip or effect
Click to select a clip or effect. Hold the Shift or Command key to select multiple clips or effects.
Press the Delete key or select Edit > Delete.
Deleting maintains the spacing between media on the timeline. To automatically remove the extra space between media when deleting, see Ripple delete.
